In our second panel segment, Josh, Meg and Lesli discuss the Growing Up LGBT+ profile in personal terms. They describe the impact of bullying, high levels of isolation, and dealing with suicidal ideation. Our staff carried the inward knowledge of their orientation for an average of eight (8) years before gaining the courage to share with their parents. Lesli actually carried knowledge of their gender identity for twenty-eight (28) years before sharing with their parents. Our team talks about the process of coming out and the very real cost of following Jesus - as well as the tangible joys of abiding in Christ.
